TEHRAN - The Iranian sole representative Ali Malumat was eliminated from the Jigoro Kano Cup, the Tokyo International Judo Tournament, in the Japanese capital on Sunday.

Malumat was beaten by the Chinese judoka and failed to qualify for the next stages.
The under 73 kg judoka had defeated his French rival in the opening match.
Malumat was invited to the tournament by the organizers after a good performance in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
He was accompanied in the Kano Cup by Arash Miresmaeili, Iran’s newly-appointed coach
